Open Access Week activities in Cuba

The Institute of Scientific and Technological Information (IDICT, Spanish acronym), the Cuban Society of Information Sciences (SOCICT), the Academy of Sciences of Cuba (ACC), the Division of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), the National Center for Medical Sciences Information (INFOMED) and the Public Library “Ruben Martinez Villena” have elaborated a program of activities to celebrate Open Access Week for the second time in Cuba.

The programa includes the workshop “Management and publication of scholarly journals with Open Journal Systems”. This workshop received one of the awards given by INASP Open Access Competititon in order to support activities strengthening initiatives developed by member countries of this network in favor of the open access.
