To make people start using the phrase Open Access publications rather than only Open Access archiving.

To make the scholarly community aware that there is a new Open Access ublishing of monograhps in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) initiative being launched in October. The name of the initiative is OAPEN (www.oapen.org) and it gives not only access to an online library of peer reviewed HSS monographs but also shares a lot of valuable information about Open Access. On the website of OAPEN several reports are published and links to other resourses can be found including the OAPEN wiki which comprises a lot of up-to-date knowledge on Open Access publishing.
