Open Access Romanian portal is Open Access

Starting with the Open Access Week 2012, the Romanian information specialists, researchers, funding agencies and interested parties are the beneficiaries of a new portal dedicated to Open Access advocacy: www.acces-deschis.ro (beta version).

This is the online place where those interested will find relevant information concerning new models OA is proposing to the scholarly communication Romanian community and to the world at large.

We invite you all to support and be part of our efforts by signaling interesting resources or seeking our participation in projects dedicated to Open Access.

The next step is to begin a collective effort in establishing an infrastructure capable in sustaining a long-term preservation of the Romanian research output, and here the experience of our collegues from all over the world is most than welcome. This important step is one of the pillars of the proposed actions enshrined in the Open Access Understanding. This document is waiting your signature as it aims to gain as much support as possible from all those who believe in the value of OPEN.

Thank you for all the useful answers given when Kosson members when asked for and please, remember that all of you are a little part of today's achievements here in Romania.
