10.00 Short Video and Panel Discussion

You are invited to join University personnel who have been involved in the publishing of Open Access Journals  at a Panel Discussion on the benefits and pitfalls of the Open Access Publishing.   The discussion will provide valuable insight and assistance to anyone considering contributing to or publishing Open Access Journals.

10.45 “Open Access for Beginners” presentation

What is the Open Access movement all about? What are the benefits and drawbacks of Open Access publishing? Who ends up paying for these "free" publications?

 

This session will introduce you to the background to Open Access publishing, its recent history, and possible developments.
