Open Access Today: What You Need to Know

by Dr Janneke Adema

In this talk Janneke will shortly explain what open access (OA) entails and how OA is currently being implemented in the UK (including the OA requirements for the next REF). She will also talk about her own experiences of publishing her research in an open way during and as part of her PhD.

Dr Janneke Adema (@Openreflections) is a Research Fellow in Digital Media at Coventry University and recently organised the Radical Open Access Conference (http://radicalopenaccess.disruptivemedia.org.uk/).

Open Access Support at CU

This session will provide an overview of the Coventry University OA Policy, and support available for PhD students and researchers, including the CURVE OA repository and support available from the Library. This session will also briefly consider University requirements for OA for your PhD.
