Event Description

It is important that librarians and journal editors and authors understand both the challenges and choices that shape the development of business models for open access journals and campus-based publishing projects. This presentation by Raym Crow, senior consultant for the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, will describe the basics of developing a sustainable business model, review models commonly used to support open access journals, and discuss the challenges journals typically face when considering a transition to open access.
