Event Description

The plan is to make use of major contributors of the institutional repository (IR) in each faculty to advocate for OA publishing, thus igniting the interest of other faculty staff who have not published the OA route. The strategy is to have an OA exhibit in each Faculty, the Faculty Librarian collaborating with the major contributors to the IR as exhibitors. Top ten IR contributors and most accessed articles will be showcased. Live demonstrations of the IR and OA journals will be conducted. OA promotional materials will also be distributed. The expectation is to celebrate OA milestones over the years.
