The future of research: assessing the impact of Plan S

The bold ambition behind Plan S is to ensure that full open access to published research finally becomes a reality. Yet, what does it mean for the future of research? The strategy behind Plan S and its impact on research institutions, academies and learned societies, early- and mid-career researchers will be addressed at a dedicated conference on 6 November 2019 in Leuven (Belgium).

The Academia Europaea Cardiff Hub, KU Leuven Libraries, the Young Academy of Europe and Cardiff University are very pleased to extend this invitation to the conference “The future of research: assessing the impact of Plan S”, which is free and open to all.

Our keynote speaker, new cOAlition S Open Access Champion Prof Johan Rooryck, and our panel of leading international experts will share their views about the benefits, challenges and potential consequences of Plan S implementation.
