How can companies support Open Access and Open Science?

Open Access Week gives us a chance to share how we at Brain Products support Open Science every day. In this blog, we want to share some of the initiatives we have in place and ideas about how companies like us can promote Open Access to benefit all.

Brain Products is one of the leading providers of hardware and software solutions for neurophysiological research. One of our guiding principles is to have a positive impact on the field of neuroscience. As scientists, we all know that progress in any field is made from advancing previous findings. We believe that having easy and free access to scientific publications, through Open Access, creates more inclusive, collaborative and robust scientific research. Researchers who otherwise may not have had access to important scientific work due to paywalls can now freely read these papers. We see supporting Open Access as one important way we can help propel neuroscience forward and have a positive impact on the research community.

In this blog, we want to share some of the ways our company promotes and encourages others to get involved in Open Science. These activities are part of our day-to-day business and we see Open Access Week as a wonderful opportunity to share this part of our company vision with a wider audience.

Stay tuned to learn how we celebrate Open Access and Open Science. And please share your ideas about what else companies like ours could do. We’d like to learn from you, too.
