What are your goals for OA Week?
I'm an NSF postdoctoral research fellow, and my outreach activity is to raise awareness about open access textbook resources in the Texas A&M geoscience community and to develop an open access textbook chapter for a Geobiology textbook. My goal for OA week is to hold department seminars for professors, graduate students, and undergraduate students in order to gauge their awareness, and answer questions such as: 1) What is the value proposition for OA in the geosciences?, 2)What benefits would OA bring to researchers, and 3) How can OA specifically benefit society through improved access to geoscience research?
How did you hear of the OA Week site?
Through the OpenCon 2015 application.
