Glad to see that South Africa have a group on the open access site. Thanks Fatima. I've been thinking about how we can make a contribution to getting Open Access onto peoples agenda. Wondering if there is a place for us to put together a week’s programme. For example, we could ask the people from African Commons Project if they were interested in participating. http://www.africancommons.org/ We could also become members of the OpenCourseWare Consortium. I see that Udubs and UCT are the only South African members of the OpenCourseWare Consortium. http://www.ocwconsortium.org/. Naturally we would also have a slot for FOSS and punt the African VLE #chisimba. Would also be interesting to get someone from http://p2pu.org/ to chat. Interested in hearing other ideas. I'm just throwing random thoughts around.
