Open Access Week

October 23 - 29, 2023 | Everywhere

Urgently needed! A symbol or character version of the Open Acces logo to be used in Word!!!! So no icon or image but a character like the Copyright character © that we all know!

We are creating lists op Top 25% Journals within relevant Journal Citation report (JCR) catagories for our organisation (University Medical Center Groningen)

The CMS of the University of Groningen does not allow to add images next to these texts, and we think it would be nice to have that character anyway!

Peripheral, but I think we also need a mascot (rather like Linux's TUX).

Everything we do on this earth during our lifetime is peripheral ..

We need a Boulevard Périphérique.

How about using Microsoft Word's

Latin Capita Letter O with an Inverted B?

It is available under  the symbols menu and looks like this:

Ȏ.

Perhaps suggestive of the opened lock symbol.

Cheers.

If it does have to be a single character, what about Å or å, in which an o modifies an a (see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%85 ).

If not, what about simply using OA?

I really like the o modifying the a combination! Nice!
