Event Description

s a part of the Open Access Week celebration, the University Library and Open.Michigan are co-hosting this Edit-a-thon to improve Wikipedia content relating to the library's collections, to feature our collections via editing relevant Wikipedia articles, and to help new editors practice the basics of Wikipedia editing. Pleaseregister for the event.

Hosts are Ye Li, Chemistry Librarian; Dave Malicke, Open Education Specialist; Chris Leeder, Ph.D student from SI; and students from the Michigan Wikipedians club. This event is for people of all levels of experience with Wikipedia, faculty, staff and students alike. Laptops will be available for use in the Gallery Lab, or you can bring your own. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you don't already have a Wikipedia account, please create one before the event. Find directions and introductory tutorials on our guide page.
