Event Description

Funding bodies in the US and internationally have implemented mandates that require grantees to make articles resulting from funded research publicly accessible. These mandates are confusing, sometimes difficult to navigate, and are becoming more rigorously enforced. There are many options for researchers to publish their work in vehicles that will provide open access. Some options are better than others and publishing decisions have consequences.

The purpose of this session is to provide UMMS faculty (and their administrative assistants) with information, guidance, and support in deciding where, when, and how to publish their research. Please note that in order for administrative assistants to attend, they must be accompanied by a faculty member.

Speakers and facilitators in this workshop include representatives from the Office of Research and Special Projects, the Medical School Office of Regulatory Affairs, Taubman Library, and Open.Michigan.
