Event Description

Free licenses, Libre OA, Berlin Declaration, Deposit Licence, Creative Commons - these are terms related to Open Access. They all have "something" to do with copyright. In order to make the legal background tangible, this lecture will discuss the topic from a copyright point of view. The aspects of copyright that are relevant for Open Access will be explained. The rights of use and licences are especially meaningful. Understanding how they work can be a good aid in gaining a better understanding of how Open Access works and how it is necessary.
Following the talk, questions from the audience can be used to deepen individual aspects.
The talk will be given bei Ina Kaulen, PhD, attorney at law with focus on copyright and media law and project member of Hamburg Open Science.
